Our core philosophy is simple: we process as much as possible locally on your device and only collect what is strictly necessary to validate Premium licenses.

2. Data We Collect and Why

• Device/User IDs: To prevent license sharing and enforce our device limits, the extension generates a random, anonymous Unique Identifier (UUID) for your specific browser installation. This UUID contains no personal information.
• Authentication Information: If you purchase Kolt Premium, the extension securely transmits your 16-digit License Key to our server (api.koltvideodownloader.com) to verify your Premium status.
• Website Content & Network Activity: The extension monitors network traffic on your active tabs solely to detect video streams (.m3u8, .mp4, etc.) and generate thumbnails. This parsing happens entirely locally on your machine. We do not track your browsing history or send the URLs of the videos you download to our servers.

3. Payments and Financial Data

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not collect, store, or have access to your credit card numbers or sensitive financial data.

4. Data Sharing and Selling

We do not sell your data. We do not transfer your data to third parties for advertising, marketing, or lending purposes. Data is only transferred to our secure licensing server for the sole purpose of validating your Premium access.

5. Your Rights

You have full control over your data. You can clear the extension's local data at any time by uninstalling it from your browser or clearing your Chrome extension storage. If you need a device slot reset for your Premium license, please contact support.
